R.I.P. NOTORIOUS B.I.G.
14 years ago today we lost the potential "Greatest Rapper of All Time". The reason I use the word potential is that we were only graced with two albums of work from him. Two albums that were full & complete with every style of hip hop possible from great stories, to club bangers, to gangster shit, to just straight up just lyrics & wordplay, dude was just nice........Hands Down!!!!!!! If Son was still here, there's no tellin' where the game would be but one thing for sure he was setting the standard for what a good rapper is "supposed" to sound like. Funny thing is, to this day, still not many can touch him, anyway B.I.G. shouts out to The Notorious One, we still miss you homie!!!!!!!!!

XXL Freshman Class 2011 Cover
This is where the "CRITICAL" part of this blog comes in to play............ I don't know who half these dudes are. Crazy thing is I ask my daughter (she's 15) who I figure can help a nigga out & she may be familiar with them, namewise, she can't name too much of their music. That saves me from thinkin' I'm out the loop but at the same time, it doesn't say much for these new "so called" freshman rappers. If the kids ain't all the way up on it, the older heads damn sure ain't, so how the hell you gon pop son??? I do want to acknowledge Diggy Simmons & Cyhi Da Prince, two true MC's I'm lookin out for, word but on that note, I'll holla........ PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!

THE CYPHER/FREESTYLE
Not too many cats can even do this, they haven't perfected their craft. Probably don't even give a f**k about their craft because it was just a way for them to flip they drug money. Niggas wrote some wack rhymes got a hot ass beat and swore up and down they "went in", meanwhile I can outrap they ass and I ain't no MC (but I am a critic). Anyway just figured I would post some cats that get it in a lil somethin, PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SAIGON - The Greatest Story Never Told
Hands down one of the best pieces of work I've heard in the past year. Dude is on some Real Public Enemy shit - some "thugged out" social commentary. With production by Just Blaze, this shit is definetly "blazin"....... REAL RAP!!!!!!!!

THE W.W.B.C.C.
Hands down one the illest "real hip hop" crews to ever do it & still doin it as we speak. Consisting of "Black Moon", "Heltah Skeltah", "Smif N Wessun", "O.G.C.", The World Wide Boot Camp Clik all display what we hip hop heads call "MIC SKILLZ". With much production from the Beatminerz in their early days, the basslines & tempos were straight Boom Bap. Under the leadership of Buckshot the BDI, these cats, right now, can give your favorite MC a run for his money, they might even just take his money (Shout out to "Brownsville"&"Bed Stuy", can't forget "F.A.P.") Any given day you can still see these cats walkin down Sutter or Mother Gaston aka Stone Ave, no security cause the hood still loves them or you might just get stomped out if you try to front........... So much much respect to The Boot Camp Clik, Headz Still Ain't Ready!!!!!!!!!!

Fallen Soldiers of the Game
These are some very influential MC's who were never exactly able to make it to their prime, one or two weren't even able to get of to a huge start, however they all left huge footprints and set high standards to what true MC's should be. The hottest (Billboard hot that is) of the new regime can't touch any of these dudes............ To all of them R.I.P. You will never be forgotten!!!!!!!!
